Scout: Jeremy Vercillo
Skating:
Yurov's skating is pretty average. He has a low wide base, which is great for his strength on the puck and edgework, but his acceleration and agility isn't great.
Passing/Handling:
Yurov is a smart passer/stickhandler that likes to simplify the game. He doesn't go after defenders one-on-one, but can slow the tempo and find openings with his vision and patience.
Shooting:
Yurov has a high end shot. He's got a quick release and a strong one-timer. I think he'll be dangerous from all areas of the offensive zone.
IQ (Vision, Anticipation, Panic/Poise):
His Vision and Anticipation is his best trait. He seems to always find the right place to be both on offense and defense. He is one of the most mature and positionally sound prospects I've watched, although I see him more as a Wing than a Center.
Forechecking:
Yurov is not a particularly aggressive forechecker, but is strong on his skates and can create chances when put in that position.
Defense:
Yurov is responsible defensively too -- he has good positioning and instincts, and is strong on his stick and with his body. I'd prefer to see him deployed in a more offensive-minded role, but he can do the dirty work too.
Best Asset:
Hockey IQ
Biggest Concern:
There isn't a ton of offensive flash -- he's got good vision, good handles, and an above average shot, but he's not dynamic the way today's superstars are.
Top Tier/Role Potential:
Top line forward, point per game
Justification for Top Tier Assessment:
He's got all the talent in the world, and could evolve into a force with a bit more time
50th Percentile Tier/Role:
middle six secondary scorer, with some PP1 time
Justification for 50th Percentile Tier Assessment:
If he doesn't show an elite skill he may be more of a secondary player in the NHL, reliant on a good linemate or relegated to more defensive roles.
Stylistic Comparable:
Auston Matthews with less offensive talent
Scouts Final Thoughts and Additional Stats/Info:
Hope to see him in Minnesota next season.

Scout: James Iacovone
Skating:
Excellent skater, stands out right away. Great on edges, powerful strides, fast acceleration.
Passing/Handling:
Yurov knows where he's going with the puck before he gets it. His handling is very good, looks like an NHL player already.
Shooting:
Shot a puck off the goalies back in this game resulting in a goal. Otherwise didn't have chance to see his shot.
IQ (Vision, Anticipation, Panic/Poise):
IQ is outstanding. Smart player, knows where everyone is on the ice at all times. Sees plays before they happen it seems.
Forechecking:
Yurov has the size and skating ability to get in a wreak havoc on the forecheck.
Defense:
Defensively Yurov seems to be in the right position, he does not shy from physicality and often wins puck battles.
Best Asset:
It's a toss up between his skating and his IQ but I'll go with his IQ. Extremely smart player.
Biggest Concern:
Not really a concern but would have liked to see play run through him more often.
Top Tier/Role Potential:
Yurov has top line potential in the NHL.
Justification for Top Tier Assessment:
He has the size, speed, and IQ to play top line in the NHL.
50th Percentile Tier/Role:
Level 2
Justification for 50th Percentile Tier Assessment:
60-80 point scorer with potential for above average BASH
Stylistic Comparable:
