Scout: Tony
Skating:
Jakob can be a smooth fluid skater art times, although it does not look like he is fast.
Passing/Handling:
Jakob is above average at passing and handling the puck, although usually the puck is not on his stick long enough
Shooting:
Jakob has a variety of shots, slap shots, wrist shots and one timers. His shots are usually accurate and he can get his own shot off.
IQ (Vision, Anticipation, Panic/Poise):
Jakob is a smart player, able to Anticipate where to go to get open for a pass from a teammate to get his shots.
Forechecking:
I did see some forechecking, especially when he turned over the puck, but also saw some times where it was just a stick wave.
Defense:
I did not see a ton of defense from Jakob, other than some stick defense
Best Asset:
I would say Jakob's best asset is his ability to get his shots off, either by himself or via finding a opening to receive a pass from a teammate
Biggest Concern:
My biggest concern is lack of defense and not a lot of BASH
Top Tier/Role Potential:
Tier 1/ Top Six
Justification for Top Tier Assessment:
Jakob could reach Tier 1 with his shooting and a lot of power play time
50th Percentile Tier/Role:
Tier 3/Bottom six or extra forward
Justification for 50th Percentile Tier Assessment:
Jakob's lack of defense and sometimes lackluster play, not a lot of BASH
Stylistic Comparable:
I could not come up with a good comparable, but I did see one scout said Andre Burakovsky
Scouts Final Thoughts and Additional Stats/Info:
Jakob could have productive career, if can even out peaks and valleys, Picks up defense and Physicality
Games Scouted:
2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup SWE v SVK, Timara IK v Lulea HF, 2025 U18 WC QF SWE v FIN
