Scout: Tony Robinson

Skating:

His skating is Average to just above average, speed, edges and starts.

Passing/Handling:

Puck handling is slightly above average.

Shooting:

Shooting seems to be one of his best attributes. Seems to be able to get his own shot close to the net and also able to hit shots from further out.

IQ (Vision, Anticipation, Panic/Poise):

I saw good vision, and anticipation by being able to get open around the net. Not a lot of panic with his peers.

Forechecking:

I was surprised to see some fore checking using his bigger frame, so the could help his career if it continues

Defense:

Defense is the slightest amount above average again he uses his size in the offensive zone but as is the new norm not a lot of shot blocking.

Best Asset:

I would say it is two fold his shooting and use of his size to get his own shot and forecheck

Biggest Concern:

This is 3 fold, His skating needs work, need to be even bigger for rigors of NHL and play a more all around defensive style

Top Tier/Role Potential:

I would say low end of Tier 1 (top six and number 1 pp)

Justification for Top Tier Assessment:

Willing and able to get own shot and use of size while improving skating and defense

50th Percentile Tier/Role:

Mid tier 3 with some up side. If skating does not improve and continues BASH by blocking more shots maybe a switch to wing, he could carve out a role

Justification for 50th Percentile Tier Assessment:

Lack of elite skating

Stylistic Comparable:

I would say he reminds me of Patrik Lanie.

Scouts Final Thoughts and Additional Stats/Info:

Being loaned down to HockeyAllsvenskan is probably not the best. Hopefully he can use this time and get back to SHL and maybe NHL

Games Scouted:

2 SHL Games
