Skating:

He skating is average however he needs to work on this footwork in terms of speed.

Passing/Handling:

Good hands, very accurate passing ability.

Shooting:

Karki's potential for offensive production at the pro level is high.

IQ (Vision, Anticipation, Panic/Poise):

He has a distinct understanding of the offensive zone and consistently operates low in the zone for extended periods which allows him to be more involved in the game and have more of an impact.

Forechecking:

His skating ability allows him to move efficiently at the point and evade forecheckers.

Defense:

He struggles to defend the blue line and his compete level is questions frequently. He also needs significant improvement in retrieving pucks in his own end as he can be careless with the puck, leading to turnovers.

Best Asset:

Skilled and patient with the puck, often setting up his teammates with on point passes, including long tape-to-tape ones. His shot is also effective and he has hone a strong one-timer shot.

Biggest Concern:

He needs to improve his puck movement out of his own end and put more effort into gaining possession in the defensive zone

Top Tier/Role Potential:

This may sound surprising given what I've written, but he has the potential to become a key difference-maker. He has developed into a reliable distributor who orchestrates the offense and controls the tempo.

Justification for Top Tier Assessment:

Teams are always on the lookout for offensive-minded defensemen, which is exactly what he is. If Theodore departs next offseason, Karki has the capability to help mitigate the loss of one of their top defensemen.

50th Percentile Tier/Role:

Based on the above assessment he could play a top 4 pairing with a potential to hit 40-50pts and definitely run the to power play.
