Scout: Tony
Skating:
Justin's skating is good, but needs some work, especially on edges
Passing/Handling:
Justin is very good at handling the puck especially when in the offensive zone
Shooting:
Justin has an elite snap/wrist shot. especially some the face off dot down to goal.
IQ (Vision, Anticipation, Panic/Poise):
Justin lacks a little vision But anticipation and Poise (with the puck) is excellent
Forechecking:
Justin likes to forecheck ( to get the puck back and shoot)
Defense:
Justin's defense seems to be forechecking in the offensive zone
Best Asset:
Justins best aset is his shot, His tenacity is a close second
Biggest Concern:
My biggest concern is Justin lack of focus other than when he has the puck
Top Tier/Role Potential:
Tier 2/ Middle 6 forward with Power play time
Justification for Top Tier Assessment:
His shot first and foremost and willingness to forecheck and get the puck back to shot again.
50th Percentile Tier/Role:
Tier 3 / bottom 6 /limited special team time
Justification for 50th Percentile Tier Assessment:
Smallish size (not a lot of BASH) lack of focus when playing without the puck
Stylistic Comparable:
A less focused Cole Caufield
Scouts Final Thoughts and Additional Stats/Info:
Justin could be a special player if played in the right role and works on becoming a better teammate. Passing more .
