Scout: Puneet Sharma
Skating:
Moves smoothly with excellent edgework, especially when changing directions or cutting back.
Not the fastest in a straight line, but makes up for it with quickness and agility.
Shows strong balance and mobility, which helps him escape pressure and keep plays alive.
Passing/Handling:
Handles the puck like a forward, with an impressive ability to carry and distribute cleanly.
Sees the ice well, making smart breakout passes and creating offense through quick puck movement.
Confident and creative with the puck under pressure, often holding possession to open up plays.
Reads the game fast and makes good decisions, keeping the play flowing effectively.
Shooting:
Has a decent shot from the point and can score goals when given space.
Generates opportunities but is more of a setup guy than a pure shooter.
Could improve shot accuracy and power to become more threatening.
IQ (Vision, Anticipation, Panic/Poise):
Plays with a high hockey IQ, anticipates plays and reads the game well on both ends.
Calm under pressure, rarely makes panicked decisions.
Controls the tempo from the blue line, dictating offensive flow.
Forechecking:
Not overly aggressive forechecker but uses good positioning and stick work to disrupt plays.
Relies on anticipation rather than physical pressure to retrieve the puck.
Could stand to be more assertive and physical when forechecking.
Defense:
Strong positional awareness and stick usage in the defensive zone.
Physical battles can be a challenge due to his smaller frame.
Willing to engage but lacks the strength to consistently win puck battles against bigger opponents.
Versatile enough to play on his off-side comfortably.
Needs to get stronger and tighten defensive footwork as he transitions to the pro game.
Best Asset:
Elite puck-moving skill paired with smooth skating and excellent vision.
Drives transition and power-play offense effectively.
Biggest Concern:
Size and physicality limit his effectiveness in board battles and in front of the net.
Defensive consistency against bigger players remains a question.
Top Tier/Role Potential:
Could be a top-four defenseman who handles key power-play duties.
Justification for Top Tier Assessment:
Offers significant offensive upside as a playmaker and transition driver.
If he improves his physical game, he can be a strong two-way presence.
50th Percentile Tier/Role:
Solid middle-pair defender with some power-play time (on the second unit).
Justification for 50th Percentile Tier Assessment:
Brings transition offense but with defensive limitations.
Physical shortcomings may cap his ceiling hence a lessor role may be better suited.
Stylistic Comparable:
Think of him as a smaller, mobile offensive defenseman in the mold of Torey Krug or Adam Fox but not as physical and uses positioning and skating to make an impact.

Scout: Tony
Skating:
Very good skater, quick, can skate out of trouble
Passing/Handling:
very good passer, puck handling also very good
Shooting:
Can get shot through traffic, not too many slap shots, more wrist and snap shots.
IQ (Vision, Anticipation, Panic/Poise):
IQ is very good, anticipate play very well, seems to be very poised with peers and international comp.
Forechecking:
Not a lot of forechecking
Defense:
Typical of new defense, a lot of stick work. Uses skating to be in correct spot at right time
Best Asset:
Skating is his best asset, Passing and IQ are also very good
Biggest Concern:
Smallish player not a lot of BASH
Top Tier/Role Potential:
Tier 1, Power Play and most likely 1st pair
Justification for Top Tier Assessment:
His skating, IQ and passing
50th Percentile Tier/Role:
Tier 2, Maybe only spot power play time and 2nd or 3rd pair
Justification for 50th Percentile Tier Assessment:
Not a lot of BASH, Maybe other players on his team that have similar Offense and More BASH
Stylistic Comparable:
Quinn Hughes or Zach Werenski
Scouts Final Thoughts and Additional Stats/Info:
Hopefully Seamus will get a shot on Devils and being a RHD will help him get some more playing time
